i would like to learn the turkish language as i have been a regular visitor to turkey for many years.i am due to marry my fiance who is turkish in two years and would like to improve as i am only a begginer and speak only a little turkish.
i feel i would like to learn conversation and grammer and would like to spend around two to three hours per week if possible learning.
i am looking for a teacher who is easy going and who will make my lesson fun and enjoyable.

I have been living with a Turkish boyfriend in Istanbul for the last 2 years. We are living in San Francisco. But, we will be going back to Turkey at some point. I didn't learn very much Turkish while I was there and am still a beginner. I think this is in part because I am now 51 and languages are more difficult for me now, even though I learned French and Italian when I was in my 20s, as well as a little German. So, new languages aren't foreign to me, and language theory is familiar to me. Nevertheless, Turkish has been a challenge, as it is not an Indo-European language. Anyway, I am intent upon learning Turkish and am, generally a good student and am amiable and easy to work with. I own my own home on Russian Hill, and we can meet there or at a cafe I or somewhere else - I don't care.
