I live in Sumbawa now since 2 months and I want to learn Indonesian to communicate with the local people. I will be here at least 3-5 years. Once every month I visit Bali. I am a beginner. The most important for me is conversation so I can meet people here and have friends or have small talk in the bus or on the market. If I am in Bali I can have private lessons or in a group and the rest of the time via email or skype.
The quality what I am looking for in my lessons is to talk a lot. Of course I also want to learn grammar, but it is more important for me to learn how to talk and learn new words and how to use them in a sentence. But very important to me is that I can find a teacher who can give me a lesson face to face only once a month in Bali because I live in Sumbawa and the rest of the time with email.

I am living and working in Indonesia conducting business and governance work. I will be here for over a year and it is critical that I learn some language. I am a beginner, and would like to start with the basics. Conversationa l Bahassa Indonesia is my main priority, and I would like to move onto Bahassa for business later.
I would like to learn in 2 hour sessions 3 times a week if possible. I will need a flexible schedule as I will have evening meetings relatively often. I will also like to learn on Saturday.
For my teacher, I would like a teacher that is patient and will use minimal English. I have learned other Asian languages and I found it most effective when the teacher didn't use any English at all. I would also appreciate some homework and quizzes that will force me to practice in my own time.
I am serious about learning Indonesian and I would like teacher that will push me, but still understand my time constraints.
