I am searching for a French language teacher for my friend based in Kyoto. She is a Japanese lady working with an MNC, will be moving to France mid-April 2004. She needs to learn Basic French. So far, she has had 3 hours of lessons in Tokyo. She would like to have classes on:
Apr 6, 7, 8, 9: 1.5hours/day between 10:00am-13:00 pm
Place: Masamune Momoyama-cho Fushimi-ku Kyoto-city
We are paying 3500 yen/hour plus transportatio n.

I speak (but do not write) a Chinese dialect (Chaochou) and I would like to learn Mandarin. I have no experience with learning Mandarin but I believe that my knowledge of my Chinese dialect will help me.
My company intends to send me to China and I want to prepare myself for the posting.
M y aim is to learn to speak and write Mandarin to the intermediate level within 12 months. I need to develop this Mandarin capability so I can function in a business environment. I have some Chinese character capability because I speak, read and write Japanese.
If necessary I am willing to spend up to 4 to 6 hours a week for individual lessons which can be held at my office or home.
My teacher will need to be a native speaker of Mandarin. He or she will have some flexibility when it comes to lesson times as I lead a busy professional life.

My level for Japanese language as of now,is beginning.I have attended a few classes in the past but it is not enough. Whereas French, I have been taking it as a subject in school before and studied it for 5 years.
The first and foremost reason that I am learning these foreign languages is because I am highly interested in them and would like to use it in my daily life, since I am staying in Japan at the moment and also to understand the culture even more.
For now, learning the conversation skill is my main concern
Sinc e I just finished my college studies and quite free most days, A couple days a week sounds reasonable.
I am looking for a teacher who is dedicated and patient.Enjoy s teaching and willing to share their culture with me, preferably a female, as for the lessons, I would like it to be where I can use the languages quickly. Thank you

Hello,
I would like to study both Japanese and Arabic (from differennt teachers of course!) in Tokyo around Shinjuku. I want to learn casual Japanese as I need to use it everyday. I met some people from Libya and would like to learn just a little Arabic. I am hoping to study the writing system and learn a few stock phrases in Arabic. I am more serious about the Japanese lessons. Male or female is ok but this is serious language study only.
