My husband is Polish, so we have many friends who are also Polish and move into conversations in Polish. I feel offended by this and would rather learn to speak it than feel left out.
I know alot of words and some sentences, but I could not hold a conversation.
I would 'forever' be practicing what I learn with my husband and step son.
I desire not to have perfect grammar, as I understand the language is quite difficult in that respect. Rather I just want to hold a conversation and everybody understand me and I them. I would like my teacher to be persistant, yet patient.

I am looking to learn the Polish language. I lived in Poland for 4 months about a year ago. I only know enough to get around town, in addition to the little I have been learning with language tapes. I am a beginner.
I am planning to move back to Poland on a permanent basis this summer and would like to have a better understanding of the language. I would especially like to focus on conversationa l skills, but it is also important to me to have a grammatical understanding of the language so that I have a better chance of reaching fluency.
I have previously studied french and spanish, and while I know they have very different roots than Polish, I did quite well and as a result I believe that I have an aptitude for languages. I am a very good student- and serious.
I am looking for a (preferably) native speaker who would be willing to spend 1-2X a week teaching.
I have a few instruction books already, and am very serious about learning the language prior to my return to POland

Our company is currently looking for a part time Polish tutor in Sopot, Poland (north of Gdansk) to work with one of our expatriate clients who has recently relocated there.
