I am mixed filipino/scot tish race and I want to learn tagalog. My mother (who was filipina)has already died and I don't have relatives here so I am not in a tagalog speaking environment much. I am able to understand alot, but I cannot speak and put sentences together.
I need to expand in my vocabulary first then learn to speak.
I would really like to do this as I would love to communicate with my relatives better especially as I intend to spend alot more time in Philippines in the future.

hello my name is rocelyn. i am very interested in learning tagalog. i have had a facsination with the philippines ever since i was a little girl. i love the sound of the language and every about it. i have done my own lessons by books and on the internet but i think i need more improvement in the grammar part of it. i.e. the sentence markers and sentence formation.. i am willing to dedicate about 1 hour a day on my own for studying and whatever the study time is for the actual lessons.
