We are a background checking company, and in addition to domestic employment and education verifications , we often have clients that need information verified by employers or schools abroad.
We would like to have a pool of people who speak various different languages who we can call upon to complete these international verifications when they come up. There is no way to estimate how many verifications would be completed a month - so it isn't exactly steady work, but this would be ideal for someone who is doing language tutoring to make a little money on the side.
The verifications entail making phone calls and logging in notes and results online. Access to internet & email is absolutely necessary.
This calls for more than a rudimentary knowledge of the language. You must be able to converse with people in other countries for whom this is a first langauge - this also requires basic knowledge of the vocabulary associated with verifications . If you feel you are qualified, please contact us.
We are looking for people who are fluent one or more of these languages:
A rabic, Armenian, Bulgarian, Cambodian, Chinese, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Filipino (Tagalog), French, German, Hebrew, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Persian (Farsi), Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, and Vietnamese.

My daughter is interested in studying the language because she wants to be a exchange student in 2010 and she needs at least one year of Japanese before she can get accepted to the program. She has been studying for 3 months now independently and has been doing very well but we need the formaly tutoring to show to them.
As for how much time I am not sure what the tutor structure is, would 2-3 hours 3 days a week work. I mean I dont know what will work.
The qualities would be someone with patience and drive and that will take my daughter to the next level so that when she is out in Japan she will be able to float. Thank you

This summer I returned from three years working abroad in Japan. I consider myself to be at a high-intermed iate skill level. I would like to return to Japan, perhaps as soon as next fall.
More concretely, I would like to attend graduate school in Japan. Also, since the Japanese Language Proficency test will be offered in the summer next year, I am planning on taking 2 kyuu.
I would like to work with someone who can help me maintain or improve my speaking skills. Presently I can read Japanese publications and conduct many routine activites in Japanese. I can speak about various topics, however, expressing feelings and nuanced opinions is still sometimes difficult.
I would like to devote a few hours a week to study, but since I am busy with work, I feel as though working with another person will help me to feel more motiviated. Perhaps my teacher and I could meet once a week, and I can work on preparing an interesting story or news article to discuss as homework. However, I am open to new approaches and ideas in regards to language study. So all suggestions are welcome!

-Would like to travel to Japan and possibly attend school there. Studying to take the JLPT would be a plus.
-Would like to learn all 3 writing styles, grammar, pronounciatio n,conversation , and customs.
