I am currently taking arabic 120, the beginning course at Grossmont community college. I need a hand operation so can't take the next course this summer. Would like to take time over the summer to improve reading.Do not want to loose what I have learned so far. I can devote an hour or two per week. Am retired so schedules are usually not a problem. Objective is to read a newspaper and understand arabic news casts. Want first hand understanding of whats happening in the mideast.Would like to start mid June, after the semester is over.

I am beginner .I have no qualifaction in arabic ever.on other hand i know english ,punjabi and hindi i can read and write them.I want to learn arbaic for my career advancement.i would need to start from abc of arbaic.I could attend my classes for 6 hours a week making it 2hour class each.I would appericate if techer is patient and can make me understand easy with good examples.
