I am looking for a tutor to meet with about once a week to learn conversationa l Spanish. I am working on completing my Grade 11 Spanish by distance learning but feel my conversation skills are poor.
I plan on going to South America in the fall for a couple of months and think it is important that I sharpen my conversationa l Spanish skills.

I am currently taking French lessons for about a year now. From the tests and exams, I know that I'm doing OK with grammar (written) but I'm very bad at oral. It's embarassing to tell people that it's been a year doing the lessons but not able to speak fluently. As for Spanish, I have no foundation at all. I have no specific reason to learn the languages but I do love languages.

Llego en Merida en Enero 2007 por 2 meses para mejorar mi espanol. Soy jubilado y maestro del ingles para extranjeros.Q uiero viajar en hispanoameric a algunos meses despues y naturalmente, me gustaria poder conversar con la gente. Quisiera aprender 1 a 1 c. 3 horas por dia. Puedo leer periodicos pero para mi es todavia dificil entender las telenovelas (tal vez por que no me gustan!)y peliculas. Mi hablar es debil.
