Presently a beginner with a desire to improve for personal reassons,my girlfreind of 7 years is Greek and her family speak little English. I am able to spend a couple of hours a week in learning and require someone that is prepared to challenge me to improve rapidly.

I am an almost complete beginner at greek. I have spent two months in the country and enjoyed it so much that I would love to go back with a good knowledge of the language. I will be looking to start lessons in September as I am a student and therefore will not be in Bristol for the holidays. I would like to have at least one lesson a week, I am free in the evenings or at the weekends.
I am looking for a patient, fluent teacher to help me be able to learn some basic conversation within the year.

My family wish to learn greek we are all total beginners and will be moving to Cyprus in 12 months time, we require somebody to come to our home and teach us the language, the 3 children aged 15, 13 and 9 need to learn how to read and write, my husband and I only need to speak it at this stage.
We would like the lessons to be about 1 and a half hours long any evening of the week is fine might consider mornings at the weekend, whatever would suit

i really want to learn the greek laguage because although i live in england i am from greece. My dad is from Corinth. someday i hpoe to find him and it would help alot if i could speek the language. its part of me and i would love to be able to speak it. if someone were to teach me i would be starting right from scratch. i would need some one freindly and patient. i dont no how much time i would need to dedicate to learning the language. that would be up to the tutor to decide.
