I took some spanish both in college and university... and more recently through the city of Gatineau but I just never was able to practice.
Id eally I would like to be able to converse by January since I will be spending a month in Mexico after the Holidays. So my main concern in conversationa l spanish (latin american spanish)
So I have the basics although parts of it is a bit rusty... but I'm sure it would come back in no time.
My schedule is a bit flexible... I could probably find some time during the day (weekday)... or evening but I'd much rather day time.

I am a beginner in Spanish, and I'm looking to learn the language as thoroughly as possible in time for my trip to South America in just over a year from now. I'd prefer to have just one lesson per week, along with helpful readings and minor assignments to improve during the week. Preferably nothing more strenuous than that, as I'll be entering my final year of high school and wish to focus my energy primarily on my final grades for university. As for my teacher, I'm really looking for someone who just thoroughly knows the language and recognizes the differences (if they exist) between the Spanish spoken in Spain and the Spanish spoken in South America, ie. slang terms, pronunciation , etc.
