I want to learn tagalog so I can speak to my parents fluently and when I go to Philippines later this year I want to understand and talk to themm, too. I'm a beginner. I mostly need improvement in grammer and conversation, and I am willing to spend 1 hour of class time over the phone or internet. If I must meet up with my teacher, I really want it to be private lessons. I prefer my teacher to be Filipino and understanding if I need extra help with something.

Teacher required for Tagalog(Basic ) and Vietnamese (Advanced), Arabic (Modern Standard, Advanced)
The teacher is required to conduct lessons for professionals in Singapore. The teacher should be able to customise the course material for company's needs. The estimated course duration should be 4 months for Tagalog and Vietnamese( Mon-Fri 9am-5pm), and 1.5 yrs for Arabic. The teacher is also required to submit progress reports to the organisation on a weekly basis, and conduct tests to verify the standard of the student.
A t the end of the course, the teacher must register the student for a formal examination culminating in either 'O' level, 'A' Level or similar standards. A recognised certificate is required. At the end of the course, the student is expected to listen, read and interpret foreign language material and have oral communication skills. An understanding of the culture is a plus.
The teacher must be experienced, patient, proficient in the foreign language and English, dedicated, efficient, responsible and willing to take creative steps in teaching. A native speaker with a Singapore Permanent Resident Passport is preferred.

I am pretty good at understanding Tagalog, but I'm not able to speak it fluently. I can only say little sentences & a couple of words. I want to be able to have conversations in Tagalog and to learn basic reading & writing skills. This is something I'd like to do over the summer if possible.

I am Filipino and was born in the Philippines but came to the U.S. when I was less than a year old. I understand very little tagalog and I would like to become fluent in speaking and understanding . I am coming to the Philippines in June and will stay for as long as it takes for me to become proficient in Tagalog. I am looking for one on one or small group instruction. I also would be in need of a place to live, so schools with lodging would be a plus.
