I am leaving on a mission for the LDS church and will be going to Taiwan Taichung and would love to start learning the language. I am a beginner starting from scratch and would love to start with the basics. I work full time from 7:30 to 6/ six days a week but after 6 i have available to dedicate. I am looking for a native speaker that can help me learn Mandarin and perhaps Cantonese. I am adopting a child from China and would like to be able to speak to her to ease her transition. Additionally, since I'll be spending more than 2 weeks in China I'd like to be able to understand some of what is going on around me. I am moving to Panama City in about 6 weeks, so before that time I will be unavailable, however, after that I'll be there for four years. I'd like to be able to be close to fluent in one of those dialects by the end of that time. If this works out I'd be interested in long term lessons to help me achieve that goal.
