Hello my name is David, and I'm a beginner in learning Tagalog. I'm married to a filipina and I wanna continue learning more and more Tagalog to be proficient in conversations and grammar. Please help, I've bought books, AUDIO CD's, Tapes, Dictionary's, Phrasebooks.. . but it's tough trying to teach yourself a new language.
I know what you are thinkink 'just let your wife help you', well yes that is possible but not at the moment. We are still going through the immigration process so we are not together. Soon though.... Well hope you can help!

My proficiency level would b a beginner
The reasons I am learning a foreign language are numerous. Firstly, I would love to learn a second language. Second, I have been to the philippines and loved the people, the culture and the country. I plan to visit a lot and therefore thought it would be wise to learn the language. Thirdly, a lot of my friends are of the filipino culture and it would be lovely to be able to converse with them.
I would really like to spend a couple hours a week learning tagalog.
I would like someone to teach me who is able to be patient and able to break the worklan down into simple steps and explain lessons and concepts fluently in english.
