I have just moved to Italy from New Zealand (originally from the US) with my husband (Italian) to settle and start our company in his home region.
I am at a beginner level with my Italian, having some vocabulary and understanding of subject matter in listening to conversations though I’m unable to form sentences yet. I am highly committed to learning the language and am able to devote quite a bit of time to my study.
I am looking for an instructor who can guide me with grammar, conversationa l, and writing skills. Ideally my instructor would have a strong and organised format to enable me to understand the language. My ultimate goal is fluency in the language. I have a background in French and a bit of Spanish.
I would also like to meet with my tutor at least once per week to start, with additional video lessons if needed. I am flexible with timing of meeting and would like to start as soon as possible.

Hi there, I’ve been living in Sicily for over 20 years, but due to my current job only speak English all the time. My Italian has probably dropped to an Intermediate level, and I feel it should be more advanced by now! Although I can communicate well, I would like a native Italian to correct my grammar and pronunciation and assist me with verbal expression (knowing the right structure to use is always the most difficult part of speaking a foreign language). I am a professional full-time online teacher of English (EFL). I would like our sessions to be based around conversation with some structured learning including reading/pronu nciation practice/summ arising and possibly dication. I can provide materials for both the English and Italian practice. Looking forward to speaking soon!

Currently I am looking to learn Italian because I have moved to Italy for work. Learning Italian will help me enjoy my time here in Italy and take a piece of the country and culture with me. I am willing to commit at least one hour a week, due to work restraint. My current state of understanding or knowing the language is a beginner.
