I have basic knowledge of the Turkish language and would really like to expand on this. I am a teacher and I feel that by learning a language would enhance my skills. I have also been visiting Turkey for 12 years and have a love for the country which is another reason I would like to learn.
I would like to take part in 60 mins a week lessons via skype.

I live in Sydney, Australia, and will be performing in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival from 1-25 August. During this time I would like to take beginners lessons in Japanese in anticipation of a trip to Japan in April 2013. I would like face-to-face lessons, preferably very near the centre of Edinburgh, probably for two one-hour sessions per week.
I also speak Spanish (high/interme diate proficiency) and German (low/intermed iate). I love languages, linguistics, and grammar. I'm also a classical clarinetist and singer.

I have been self studying Italian for a couple of years due to the fact that my partner is from Italy. I have come to a stand still in what I am capable of learning from books/audio and I lack confidence in speaking. I therefore need a tutor who will help me gain this confidence and arrange structure around learning this language. I wish to spend around an hour a week to begin with to see if private tutoring is for me and to monitor how much I progress over the first couple of months. I wish for my tutor to be organised and encouraging and to arrange a structured course to suit my level.
