I have been fascinated with Scotland for 20+ years. This coming summer (2015) I will be leading a group of 50 students and adults to Edinburgh and England. Eventually, I would like to travel to Scotland without so many people : ) I want to explore the Highlands and the Hebrides.
I am a beginning learner. I usually have a pretty good ear for languages and accents, but I am starting at the very bottom of the scale for.
I am able to spend a few hours a week in class and more time studying and working on my lessons. I do teach school during the day (United States, Eastern Standard Time) so late afternoon or evening classes would be best.
I am looking for a teacher who is willing to work with people at the students pace, not fly through material just to get it covered. I am also looking for someone that not only has the knowledge of the language, but an understanding of the culture of the country where the language is used.

I'm looking for a Bangla teacher to teach me on Skype a couple of times a week. I'm a PhD student in the US and will be traveling to Bengal soon to conduct research. I need to be able to have fairly high-level conversations in Bangla. I don't know any Bangla, but I am proficient in Hindi as well as Sanskrit.
