I know very little Tagalog - I am a beginner and born in the US
Why? Two main reasons: 1) intellectual interest in learning a foreign language 2) I am married to a Filipina, and her whole large family speaks Tagalog. I would get lots of opportunities for practice and to use what I have learned
I can spend 3 to 5 hours a week, and am looking for private lessons so I can learn more quickly.

I will be a beginner, I want to learn a new language so that I can convers with my philipino friend and to widen my language skills in general. I would like devote at one hour or two a day on lessons. I am looking for a very thorough teacher so that I may have a full grasp of the language and at least sound like I know what I'm doing or saying and be able to talk with confidence.

I would like to be fluent in Tagalog. I am learning the language to better be able to converse with my peers and for personal enrichment. I am looking for a tagalog teacher in the Las Vegas Area. But internet instruction is a possibility as well. I am looking for a teacher who will help me learn the language quickly. I am intermediate- advanced but have difficulty articulating. I am dedicated and hard-working. I want to be fluent and will work hard for that goal.
