I was born in Iran and I am a native Azeri speaker. Currently, I am a graduate student at American University. In order to fulfill my requirement for graduation, I must possess intermediate language skills in a foreign language and have an instructor sign off on my abilities. I was hoping to come in for a few lessons to fulfill this requirement to have as a refresher course. The language that I speak is that which is spoken in the farm communities of azerbaijan and in Iran. Is this request feasible?

I am a beginner. I have learnt some very basic turkish, such as greetings, some counting, and some random words, which I am unable to use in conversation.
I wish to be able to speak and understand Turkish, at a conversationa l level, for personal, domestic reasons.
I am unable to assume how much time would be appropriate to dedicate to my lessons, though I was thinking, perhaps 1 night per week, for 1 - 2hrs..
My ideal teacher would be patient and encouraging, but also challenging.
