My language proficiency in Tagalog I would say would be a beginner. I can understand Tagalog, but I do not know how to speak it. I would like to learn how to speak Tagalog because I would like to be able to communitcate with my family and also teach my children how to speak it (when I have them). I do not want to lose mine and my parents culture. Conversationa l Tagalog would be my interest, along with that will come the grammar aspect. I would be willing to dedicate about an hour a week towards the language lessons. The qualities that I am looking for in the lessons and the teacher are to be efficient and patient.

im only a in beginer level in learnig tagalog just because i only hear it from my realtives. with this language i plan to go to the philippines and do something with music. i want to learn all aspects of tagalog. for each lessn i would like apporx. 1 hour or more so that it can stay in my head. with my teacher i honestly dont care what personalities they have only if they teach me and if i get something out of it.

I am a Filipina- American who doesn't know Filipino. I visited the Philippines last year and now wished my parents had taught me. I don't plan on going back for another two years, but in the meantime I would like to begin learning.
