I have taken Intro I and II at the USDA Grad School, but have had about 3 months off. I work with US-China business issues at the Department of Commerce, and hope to continue that work in China in the next two years. Areas for improvement? Everything! I am available 3 hrs one night per week, as this is how the USDA classes were organized. I am looking for some structure in the lessons. Also, ability to interact with Chinese in the DC community and be involved with China cultural events. I would not like my learning to be limited to the classroom.

I am a beginner wanting to learn german and french to have an advantage in the work place. I am doing my MBA in Paris, so, learning french would be very helpful to me.
In case of German, I have to start from the basic level.
But, I know the basics and pronunciation of french.
I would like to learn both the languages full time with complete dedication.
I want my teacher to assess me in french before starting the classes and for the german language, I want my teacher to help me through right from the basic level.

i would be a complete beginner. The reason behind learning this language is for the purpose of conversation with my future parents in law and to be able to converse at home so that my future children can communicate with their grandparents. this will also help in my sales career.
