I would like to learn a foreign language because it may give me the edge in case I intend to look for a job overseas. Chinese Mandarin is being spoken by a lot of people nowadays and i'd like to get familiar with it. I am a full time employee in the field of pharmaceutica l sales and currently based in Bulacan. The only time I'd be available for lessons would be on weekends. As far as expectations are concerned, I'd apprecaite if my teacher will be able to extend a great deal of patience trying to teach me. Of course, I expect that the basic writing, grammar skills be taught in a class of 2 or 3 persons because i don't want to feel intimidated and uncomfortable leearning something new in a large group

I am a native english speaker just starting to learn Mandarin. My goal is to be able to converse with Mandarin speakers in a casual setting.
I am a total beginner so I would need help in all aspects of the language, but I am willing to put in significant effort in mastering pronunciation . I also want to learn vocabulary, grammar, and writing.
I would be willing to dedicate two hours a week to language lessons, not including the time I would spend learning on my own.
I'm looking for a teacher that will not be satisfied until I have mastered the concepts that he/she is teaching.

I'm a beginner. I've taken two semesters of Mandarin at the University of Florida, but I cannot fit the class into my coming schedule. I need improvement accross the board because I would like take second year chinese in the future. I would like to dedicate a good amount of time each week for lessons. I suppose the one quality I would look for in a teacher is the ability to teach.
