I have studied Mandarin at Xavier School, though I never took it seriously. I consider myself to be a beginner. I am now looking forward to learn Mandarin with renewed interest. I am looking to learn Mandarin not only for career advancement but for added flexibility as well in case I would work or relocate abroad (e.g. Singapore). I want to improve in reading and conversing in Chinese. I am willing to allocate at least once a week to learn the language. I am looking for a practical teacher and someone who would develop my potential as a student.

As of now i know only 2 languages; filipino and english...oth er than that i do not know anything. I am already in college taking up business management majoring in applied corporate management. In business you meet a lot of people from different countries, having different cultures and languages. Most companies are looking for employees who could communicate with these people, and so as a future company personnel, i think that I need to learn other languages. It's some sort of a preparation. Besides, I am not doing anything this summer, so might as well do something productive like learning a different language. About the teacher...wel l...I am looking for someone who really knows what he/she is teaching and also someone who is not so strict.
