I am a beginner and know no Tagalog at this point. I am starting a business in Pampanga and am traveling back and forth to the Philippines. Although most people speak English in the Philippines, I want to learn Tagalog to better understand what is being said and communicate (when they are not speaking Kapampangan).

I'm a beginner... i know how to somewhat understand Tagalog (illocano) but i don't know how to fluently speak it nor write. The reason i am learning is to keep my heritage alive. I need improvement in all areas! I'm so dedicated to even go to the Philippines for a month or so to learn the native language. The qualities i am looking for is someone who is as dedicated to teaching me as i am to understanding the language.

My language level is beginner. Although I know some phrases and words, I would like to have the ability to understand, speak, and converse comfortably.
Eventually, I would like to do business in the Philippines and understanding Tagalog would be invaluable.
I am willing to put in 2-3 hours of class time per week and completely willing to do homework. I am most available in the late afternoon, evenings, or Fridays. Preferably, I would like to start tutoring sessions mid-January 2005.
