I am 21 years old and I do not speak Chinese at all, but I truly wish to learn to speak and converse in Mandarin. I hope to learn to speak fluent mandarin because I think its a beautiful and useful language. I am willing to study 1-2 hours, one to two times a week for the lesson. I am available anytime before noon on weekdays and anytime in the weekends.
I would like a teacher who is patience because I am a beginner and someone who can truly teach me how to speak mandarin.

I am interested in learning basic Mandarin, especially focused on the writing system. I lived in Korea for 3 years while I worked as an ESL professor and studied Korean. I find that my progress in Korean is hindered by my lack of knowledge of Chinese characters. I would like to learn basic Chinese characters (perhaps a few hundred over time)to help me progress in Korean, as well as the basics of how the Mandarin language works grammatically to satisfy my own curiosity. I'd like to become able to have basic, simple conversations , as well as do simple reading. At present, I have absolutely no knowledge of Mandarin, but I am a fast language learner, and am willing to dedicate myself sincerely to the effort.

My Mandarin ability is advanced beginner. I can speak, but my grammar is terrible. My listening comprehension needs a lot of work as well. I'm capable of reading simple texts and would like to continue studying simplified Mandarin characters as I find the more traditional characters much too difficult. I study Chinese every day for 2 hours. I need a private tutor to practice speaking with, as well as grammar and reading practice.
