As a high-beginner in written Norwegian (Bokmål), and a medium-beginn er in conversationa l Norwegian, I am looking for a tutor/instruc tor who will help me develop a broader vocabulary, the correct usage of intonation and grammar, as well as the ability to carry on a conversation with my Norwegian friends and others in everyday situations. I previously lived in the Stavanger area, and therefore have some experience with the different dialects in that vicinity, and would prefer a tutor/instruc tor from that region (if possible). At the moment, I am working on my thesis paper and a practicum, so I would only be able to dedicate 3-5 hrs/week to my language lessons at this time. However, my goal is to be able to express myself more fluently in Norwegian, since I will be returning to Norway next summer and will also need to pass an oral language proficiency exam for my Master’s Degree. Therefore, I am interested in long-term tutoring.

MI would like to introduce my self! I am Joshua Glenn Manning and I am on exchange in Norway now! I have been in Norway for about 11 months and I am going to be coming home soon. I would like to keep my norwegian up when I come home and start school. I am in Glen Waverley and its not to far from Melbourne. I remember my grandparents speaking Norwegian when I was a child ... espcially when they didn't want us to understand what they were saying! They are gone now and the entire family speaks English exclusively. To me, it is a shame to have lost that part of our heritage. I always try to learn something new and I view learning a bit of conversationa l Norwegian as a challenge worthy of undertaking.

I am a beginner and I only know a couple of words...I will be moving to Norway a year or so and I want to be passable in conversing with people in Norway and not have to resort to English all the time. I mainly want to start with conversationa l, and hopefully I can get that down pretty good and then branch out!! I hope to live there for a long time. I will dedicate as much time as possible, but I work a lot so many of the lessons may have to be on email.
I just want a teacher willing to be patient and work with me...that is all. I am very thankful for anyone trying to help me.
