I know only a tad bit of Mandarin; like how to count. I would like to learn Mandarin because it is a unique language. I would also like help on French. I need improvement on almost everything, except counting. In French, I know the very basics. I would perhaps spend maybe an hour or two every 3-4 days taking lessons. I would like a motivational teacher.

I have visited China three time over the past year for business. I realize that it would be beneficial for me to have some basic skills in communicating in Mandarin, for business needs as well as for vacation.
Fo lowing my visits to China, I started to use lessons on compact disks but my progress is slow to date.
My current work requires me to travel frequently, approximately 25% or the time. Consequently, I would appreciate a teacher who has some flexibility in time, able to provide me with a schedule of possibly two sessions per week.
Idea lly, I would like to start by developing basic conversation skills.
