I was born in Taiwan. Moved to the U.S. when I was 9 years old. I have forgotten ALL conversationa l chinese with the exception of a few words. I want to learn as if I was a beginner student. My sister will be here in August of this year. I want to learn enough conversationa l Mandarin to be able to communicate with her and her children. I will dedicate as much time as necessary to be able to do this. The class size will include my wife, son (14), daughter (12), and myself. I am looking for a patient, committed, and fun instructor as well as being able to teach my family Mandarin as quickly and efficiently as possible. Thank you for your time. I am French Canadian and I have always had a great interest in languages. Besides French and English languages, I master Spanish language as a mother tongue, as I lived for many years in Spain. I am also a professional in language field as I am a Spanish translator, technical writer and terminologist .
Catalan
I got to understand it perfectly (oral and written)when I lived in Cataluña and Andorra. However, as I left these regions twelve years ago, I have not had the opportunity to work on this language since then. But the main point is that during my stay in the Catalan regions, I never spoke catalan... and this is something I really want to do someday.
A rabic (Lebanese)
M y husband being Lebanese, I understand some words and expressions in this language. However, I really would like to speak it and understand (oral) it well. Therefore, I am interested in learning the Lebanese oral part of that language. The teacher should teach in Gatineau (Gatineau / Hull areas).
Ma ndarin
I developped a great interest for the Oriental cultures these last years. I really would like to know more and get closer to them. I understand the first and main way to do it is by learning their language. Going to China is a dream for my husband and me, but I never would go without knowing the language. I would like to find a native teacher in Ottawa region (Ottawa, Gatineau, Hull)for my husband and me.

I am a half-Chinese woman who was born in Taipei, Taiwan. While my family speaks 'minnan hua' at home, my Mandarin skills have suffered as a result of living in the United States for a long time. I am an intermediate Chinese student who is interested in refining my Chinese accent, expanding my business vocabulary and increasing my reading comprehension .
To start with, I would like to have 1 1-hour lesson per week. If things go well, I would like to have 1 2-hour lesson per week.
My tutor must be a native Chinese speaker. Ideally, he/she will be able to meet with me in the La Jolla UTC area or Mira Mesa area.
