I'm looking for a native mandarin speaker (from Beijing is prefered) to help me develop my speaking and listening skills. I would also like a teacher who understands can explain grammer. I'm prepared to study 1-2 hours / day, 5 days per week for several weeks.
I have been studying off and on for several years. I've done all the Pimsleur tapes and am currently in the middle of IC 2. I'd like to review IC 1 and complete IC 2 in the next few weeks, with your help.

I am a High-Beginner /Low-Intermedi ate in Speaking and listening.
I studied Speaking and Listening in Taiwan for two years. I did not study how to read and write Chinese characters at that time.
I have taught myself how to read a Sichuan Restaurant menu, and Chinese food preperation terms. I have also taught myself the 250 traditional radicals, as well as The 100 most commonly used characters.
I am currently teaching myself 'The Students 2000 list' used by Yale University.
My goal is to be able to read books written by Wang Shang Dzai, Guo Yu Shen,as well as other martial arts masters. Ultimatley, it is my goal to read Classical Chinese.
O f course, I also want to work on Speaking and Listening.
I have an advanced CTESOL certificate, and am open to a language exchange. I am also willing to pay for ongoing Mandarin lessons.

I have been attempting to learn on and off for several years. I had mememorized quite a few words in the past so many words will be familar, as I re-learn.
I have learning material but need a lot of help in conversation and pronouncing.
I will be visiting family (inlaws)in China this summer in August so would like to be able to at least make some small talk or reasonably pronounce from a Chinese reader.
Al so it is likely I will be living in China for 2-3 years sometime in the next 5-10 years.

Bonjour,
il y a un an, j'ai débuté l'apprentissa ge du chinois mandarin, par la méthode Assimil.
Je ne trouve pas que c'est une langue très difficile, mais, comme je ne suis pas toujours régulière (très occupée), je pense que je progresserai bien plus vite si je pouvais discuter avec une personne qui a le Chinois mandarin comme langue maternelle, en fonction de mes possibilités horaires.
J'ai toujours été très intéressée par la Chine, et j'aimerai que ce soit aussi l'occasion d'échanger sur la culture de ce pays, en Français, Anglais ou Mandarin.
J'appréci erai également si, grâce à mon professeur, je pouvais rencontrer assez régulièrement des Chinois(e)s de mon âge (la trentaine) établi(e)s à Montréal, parlant français, pour partager des activités et discuter de la Chine etc.
