I am a senior adult, with both personal and business interests in China. I do not speak any Mandarin, but find Chinese culture and history fascinating.
I would like to concentrate on beginning conversation, basic information (numbers, names etc) and take at least one lesson per week. I am enrolled in night school but am not able to attend consistently due to my personal schedule.
I prefer to take these lessons in the mornings or afternoons during the week.
I need a teacher who is patient, and willing to spend time working on sounds which may be difficult to a native Canadian. I don't expect to become fluent, but would be a great enrichment to my life if I could converse and understand basic conversation.
