I am a Filipino-Cana dian born and raised in Canada and I would like to become more proficient in speaking and reading Tagalog. My wife has also been learning and we would like to further our understanding of the language. I would consider us beginners.
We are both very busy people and could only devote a couple of hours a week.
We both learn well in a structured enviornment. We are looking for a teacher who is patient and can help us better communicate with our family.

I am a beginner, actually i don't know 2 words in Filipino
I want to learn this Foreign Language because i wish to teach school in the Philippeans, I am also related by marrage to many filipino people, and would like to speak fluent Filipino.
I need a class that i can go to to learn all of the Filipino language. I would like to understand and Keep up a conversation in the Filipino Language.
The time that i would be able to do this would be Limited because i am going to school and live in the country, but i am really dedicated to learning this language and i would be able to come in for classes. If i can get a teacher i would love to put as much time as needed in.
In my lesson and the teacher i am looking for someone that speaks great Filipino, and Great English. He/She should be able to maintain a good classroom and be well at teachin. If homework is needed that would be awesome also. I think that the teacher should have handouts for us to read and book in witch we are able to follow along with the lesson.

My proficiency level would b a beginner
The reasons I am learning a foreign language are numerous. Firstly, I would love to learn a second language. Second, I have been to the philippines and loved the people, the culture and the country. I plan to visit a lot and therefore thought it would be wise to learn the language. Thirdly, a lot of my friends are of the filipino culture and it would be lovely to be able to converse with them.
I would really like to spend a couple hours a week learning tagalog.
I would like someone to teach me who is able to be patient and able to break the worklan down into simple steps and explain lessons and concepts fluently in english.

I am looking to learn Filipino(Taga log). The status that I am currently at is a beginner. I have had zero formal training and have only the slightest in conversationa l interaction.
I would like to learn the language primarily so that I am capable of conversing with many others whom I know who are proficient in the language. Aswell I intend to spend time in the phillipines.
In regards to how much time I can allot, I am a student at McMaster University in Hamilton, and I have a car so I am flexible. Once a week would probably be best, but can be determined at a later date.
In regards to a teacher I am looking for someone who has the time to tutor in person. This is my primary requirement, as I am a beginner.
