I just moved to Shanghai to find a job. My English and French is fluent, but I have no prior knowledge of Mandarin Chinese.
I have a set of Tao-chung Yao and Yuehua Liu's 'Integrated Chinese' (level 1 and 2 with textbooks, workbooks and tapes).
Fo r the time being my schedule is flexible. Ideally, I want a teacher who is able to teach me Mandarin 2-4 hours 3-4 days a week.
I would appreciate that my teacher has prior teaching experience and references.

Hi, I am a beginner who would like to learn Mandarin in private lessons. I have been travelling to China for work on a frequent basis the past two years and feel a strong need (and desire) to be able speak Mandarin. The vast majority of my work is in Shanghai. I work in Public Relations for an Automotive Company.
I live and work in the Detroit area and am flexible as to location of lessons, as long as it's in the Metropolitan Detroit area.

I am a beginner, but have had some lessons. My goal in learning Chinese is to become proficient enough to carry on technical conversations in the language.
I would like to spend between 2-4 hours a week in private lessons.
The qualities I would look for in a teacher are that they are a fluent speaker (native is a plus, but not necessary), are highly proficient in english, have some teaching experience, and are just a little bit patient.
