I have recently returned from China where I have spent 9 months living and working as an English teacher. I have basic Mandarin, enough to survive ordering some dishes, using numbers, basic greetings and so forth. I would like to build upon my existing basic knowledge of the language. My primary concerns are with speaking and listening, general conversation, using the telephone, talking about things I have done in the week or what I plan to do at the weekend, but would like to become proficient in using pinyin.
I would like to have 1-2 hours per week taught in person and I could supplement this with cd's and books that I have for a further 2 hours per week.

I am an American business man who does business in Taiwan and China. I currently only speak a few phrases of Mandarin.
I want to increase my knowledge of Mandarin to at least a conversationa l level and learn appropriate vocabularly for my industry (investments, financial services).
