Complete beginner, other than knowing a few words.
Rec ently developed a business relationship with a Beijing firm. I recently travelled there and attended business meetings in the company's office. For next years seminar/confe rence I would like to be able to carry on at least a limited conversation as a courtesy to them. Also, enjoyed the hospitality, and am now interested in the language and Chinese culture.
D epending on location, I could spend 10 or more hours per week (including home practice). Also intersted in learning writing.
