I just came back from my first trip to China. My father and Step-Mother have lived in GuangZhou for the past three years but this was only my first trip. Now I am in love with China and am planning to go back over my Christmas break. I spoke with my Step-mother about learning the language and she said Mandarin was the way to go. I have been searching the internet but am having difficulty locating a class for Beginners. Please help.

Dear sir or madam,
I am currently in Beijing for an international trade firm
from Vancouver, Canada. Learning mandarin right now would enhance my career and my
future business ventures with the people here. My native language is English and my proficiency is very good. I also speak Cantonese but my only weakness now is that I cannot write in the Chinese language.
The areas that I need improvement would be in all areas of Mandarin right now. In the last 2 months, I have been learning mandarin on my own and listening to others. I find this more difficult and slow that by learning from someone one-one-one.
I would like to dedicate my time to learning mandarin here in Beijing to about 2-3 hours per day if not more. I have been told many times that if a person can speak Cantonese already, learing mandarin will be much easier.
Th e type of qualities that I am looking for in teacher is professionali sm and good understanding of both English and Mandarin in their everyday teaching.
If you can provide me with more information such as learning location, price and scheduling, it would be greatly appreciated.
