I am a beginner. I would like to learn French well enough, to carry on a conversation if and when I visit Paris. I also think that learning a second language is important. I just can back from Amsterdamn and everyone their speaks more than one.
I think once or twice a week should be enough for me to get a good grasp of the language.

I have decided that i want to learn french. I have never taken french before. I want to learn how to speak and read french and possibly even write french. Advanced--2 yrs college level, Smith College, MA. I will be studying at la Sorbonne next year, and so must become quite proficient by that time. I need a great deal of help with everyday speaking, understanding of the culture and city, as well as some intensive review of grammar. I would love to have sessions twice a week, but the frequency will depend on the cost. I am hoping to find a kind, advanced-leve l teacher, preferably native or with experience living in France, especially Paris.

I am looking for a french teacher to teach my husband and I french. I took french in high-school- so I am still a beginner. My husband has never taken french. But, we would like to learn french so we can take an extended vacation in France next summer.
We would like to be conversationa l at least before next June. So, as far as teaching, that depends on many factors I suppose including our ability to pick up the language.
