I will be moving to China at end of 2004. I have 1st level Mandarin proficiency already but now need to progress rapidly to business level.
I am interested in speech and litening only; no reading or writing required.
I learnt 1st level Mandarin using the pinyin system but am willing to be flexible.
As this is very important to my business career I am willing to put in considerable hours per week to reach my desired level by end of 2004.

In 1991 I completed an MA, Honours in Mandarin Chinese; after that I worked in China for around 18 months. I would like to improve my Chinese - spoken, reading and listening comprehension . I would like to read and discuss newspaper stories with my teacher on a one to one basis. I would prefer to have a native speaker teach me.

I am a French assistant in ryde, in the Isle of Wight.I have been learning Madarin for almost three years in France and I don't want to give up this year. I would like to improve my speaking and I think that an hour or two of conservation with a native Mandarin teacher will be very helpful. I really hope I could find someone speaking Mandarin in the Isle of Wight or in Portsmouth.
I study Mandarin because I am really interested in China in general and I would like to spend a year there after the end of my studies.
