I will be moving to Tokyo, Japan later this year for work. So, I'll need to improve my Japanese skills. Currently, I'd say I am about lower intermediate level, and I have been doing private lessons with a Japanese teacher in Sydney for the past 9 months.
I think I still need to really work on my conversation and listening skills, and my Kanji reading. Later I plan to take the JLPT exams all the way up to N1.
I would like to start at 2 times per week (2 hours total per week) and see how that goes.
I am looking for an easy going teacher, who is honest and willing to be patient at times. I also need guidance with what text books I should be using.

I am a US navy sailor coming from the USA and I would like to know if there are any native italian soeakers in Okinawa. I will be stationed there begining march 30 for two years.
