My motivation to learn Slovak in based on a desire to communicate with relatives in Slovakia when I eventually visit them. I am a complete beginner and would like to start with simple dialogues full of useful vocabulary. Interactive tutoring would be optimal; grammar drills I can do on my own time, for the most part without a tutor. I am willing to give 3-4 hours a week to learning Slovak. I would prefer a teacher who enjoys interactive teaching and brings cultural knowledge into the lessons. My IDEAL teacher would want to do a language exchange with me - My native language is U.S. American English and I am also nearly fluent in German with nearly no accent.
