Though I have learnt French for two years during my graduation, my proficiency in French is almost equal to zero. I wasn't that serious learning French except scoring some very good marks. Thanks to my 'mug up' skills. Besides having some very good teachers I failed to learn French. I was not aware of the usefulness of learning a new foreign language. Now as I see the importance of French, which may also help me in my career, I want to learn it seriously. I would want to start from the scratch (beginners level). I shall be able to spend at least 8 to 10 hours a week for the lessons. I am looking for a friend rather than a teacher to help me learning French. I shall abide by the lessons and teaching methods that the teacher may find appropriate and comfortable. Just to mention though, I find informal teaching methods using various means of communication more effective than a classroom approach (lecturing mode).
