I have picked up some Cantonese from my girlfriend, who's whole family is from Hong Kong. I would like to be able to communicate better with her family members, some of which speak very little, or no English at all. I have read some books and listened to tapes, but that is really not the best way that I learn. In person, where I can easily ask questions and get the answers, is the best way for me to absorb information. I know some very basic vocabulary, and grammar. I'm very busy, so I'd be looking for lessons once a week. Thanks you.

I have only just started cantonese i can speak three words in cantonese. I am learning cantonese as my girlfriend if from hong kong and would like to be able to speak to her and her family in cantonese. Im going to hong kong in 3 months to visit my girlfriend as she has moved back for a few months. At the moment i only need to learn spoken cantonese don't need reading or writing. I would like one 3 or four hour lesson per week + any extra time i have to work in the house with language tapes etc. would prefer female tutor as i would be more comfortable but not a must.
