I have recently taken a few classes that consisted of 40 hrs of instrution each. I didn't learn as much as I had wanted to and I think a one on one or smaller class sizes would help a lot more. My reasons for learning are that I am going to be traveling and visiting my friends in Mexico in November. I would like to be able to communicate better with them. I would like to be able to have a normal conversation about everyday things and be able to understand a native speaker and respond. I would like to dedicate 2hr classes twice a week as well as study at home. I think that repetativenes s is an assest when learning a language. What i'm looking for in an instructor is someone who is fun, energetic and has a real enthusiasm for teaching and someone who can sence the pace of one' s learning curve and adjust to that. Someone who genuinly cares about the student.
