I am a beginner. My parents lived in France for the last year and may possibly be going back. I have visited many times and would like to be able to communicate better. I would like to keep my mind sharp and only know a little German. I would need to start basically from the beginning and would like to do it a couple of times a week (depending on cost). I want someone who is very fluent in French and has spent time over there and can really work me hard. I am very eager to learn.

I am a beginner with other family members and friends that speak and live in a french speaking country. I am a beginner level in French. I've tried to learn through tapes before, but the recording spoke too quickly, very frustrating.
I'm looking to learn both writing and conversationa l French, if possible.
I suppose the reason is I always want to learn more.
I feel by working one on one with a tutor will greatly improve my chances of accomplishing my speaking goal.
I have a great deal of time to work with at this point, and am willing to dedicate several lessons a week if need be.
