Dear Sir or Madam,
I'm looking for a teacher for French who could teach me in a small class or in private lessons (depending on the price). I'm currently here in Auckland because I'm doing my PhD here, but I'll be leaving for New Caledonia the beginning of June for field work, which is why I need to learn French. I started studying back home in Germay for about three months quite intensively, so I'm not an absolute beginner any more.

I've not learned the language before except for very basic French from self help audio learning package. I'm very enthusiastic to learn the language to add on as a personal skill and hope to be able to converse fluently (or be reasonably fluent) in French .
I'm happy to have two hours of lesson per week, which probably would have to be on weekends as my work would occupy the rest of the week.
I'm not looking for a one to one tuition but hope for a group tuition where there are about four pupils per class to share the cost of the class.
