I studied 4 years in high school and 1 in college but i am very uncomfortable speaking.
My spouse is spanish speaking as well as his family and I wish to respectfully communicate with his mother/realit ives.
I would like a teacher that pushes me to be correct and is direct in expectations and presentation. I can commit to Tuesdays & Thursdays or Monday nights only if I take tues & thurs at the college but I would prefer direct instruction for practical purposes as college hasn't helped me speak so far...

I am wanting some information on your Farsi classes. I am 23, and attend CSU Sacramento. My Farsi is VERY limited as it stands, but I am eager to learn. I speak German and have noticed many similarities as far as words are concerned; when learning a new language grammar is my major challenge. My schedule would probably only allow a few hours per week for study. I am not particularly linguisticall y gifted, so a patient teacher would be ideal. Please let me know what resources if any are available for someone my age to attend classes.

I have grown up speaking Punjabi, and I can read and write it at a basic level. I am learning Punjabi for academic reasons, because I would like to study Punjabi literature. The areas I need to focus on are increasing my reading speed and improving my grammar. I want to study Punjabi full time - about 20 hours a week.
