I am visiting Myanmar for a couple of months now to volunteer at a business school. I would like to study Myanmar language (Burmese) in Yangon so I can understand people I meet here better.
I speak English and Japanese, but I do not speak Myanmar language at all yet. I am a beginner, but a serious student.

I am learning both Hindi and Burmese for interest and career advancement. I am a beginner in both languages and would like to attain a good conversationa l level, and the ability to be able to read newspapers, magazine and eventually, books.
Ideally, I foresee lessons once a week. I have done some self-learning in both languages and can read and write simple texts and articles. I have experience in other Asian languages - Chinese and Japanese and consider myself a fast learner.
The teacher I'm looking for would be one with a good educational background, a sound understanding of their native tongue with experience teaching English-speak ing students. I am looking for someone who can take through the language and introduce the culture, history, and written language.
