I am looking for Mandarin classes for many reasons, most specifically to communicate with my wife's side of the family in their native language.
I also have business use for the present and future. I have no training in Mandarin except common expressions.
I would like to begin with 1 night a week and see how the development goes.

I think it is important to learn different languages as it would be a great asset for my career and traveling. I also want to learn French and Chinese as they are part of my heritage.
I would like to improve on all areas of the language but conversation would be the most essential. I have had previous education in Mandarin and French.
As for time, I think 1-3 hours a week would work.
I would like a teacher that offers private lessons.

I am learning Chinese,Manda rin so that when i travel to China i will be able to converse with the general population.My proficiency level would be beginner.I feel that i need the most help in pronuncian and undersanding the basics.I could probably afford an hour or two a day-depending on cost,as i will come to Vancouver for a limited time this fall.The most valuable quality my teacher could have is patence.

I have studied Mandarin on and off for 10 years and I went away where there was not a single Mandarin speaker in sight. I would say I am elementary. All facets of Mandarin need work. I don't want to write characters. I am a Realtor(R) and need to speak for my business plus I go to China often.
I would like to dedicate 3 hours per week minimum. Separately from this request I and am looking for somebody who wants homestay so I can practice often. Language exchange-mand arin speaker and I would trade english.

Learning chinese is one of dream.
I am a beginner, I wish to learn to speak fluent Chinese and be able to read and write (the whole package). I also need to learn the business side of the language. I wish to learn it as fast as possible.
