Although I have travelled in Spanish speaking countries, I am still a Spanish language beginner. I wish to improve my Spanish language skills in preparation for a church trip to Colombia in July. I'm into culture in general, But languages is a real passion for me. My first language passion was English. And I have perfected it in one year, if you sit down with me and have a conversation you wouldn't guess where I'm really from (if you add culture and language in the evaluation criteria). I got into Spanish since my trip to Costa Rica, my friends had an input too. They complemented my accent but not my language! I learned the basic needs of the language for a tourist in twenty days. I love a challenge, and I want to perfect the language. It will help me in a career advancement ,etc sure , but my real drive is my passion. If your a teacher and weigh your accomplishmen ts by your student success, I believe I'm your next succes story !

I am learning a foreign language for a job opportunity in the financial services industry dealing with Latin America.
I have no prior knowledge or experience with Spanish.
I will need to learn to be able to communicate, read, write, understand and be comfortable in a business setting while dealing with people from Latin America.
I can dedicate 2 hours twice a week to learn Spanish.
