I have a friend who has family in China and we visit every year. I would like to be able to converse with some of his family in their native tongue as well as be able to find my way around in shops and restaurants etc so conversation in probably more important.
I am very much a beginner and can get by with Hello and Thank You but that's about it.
I haven't thought about how much time I can devote yet but I was considering some evening classes so around 2-3 hours a week. I could do more if I altered my work schedule as I am self employed so flexible.
I qualified as a TEFL teacher last year so I am looking for a similar type of approach to what I learnt there, that is learn by speaking the language as much as possible.

I want to learn Korean because:
- I work for a Korean company and work with Korean colleagues.
- My wife is Korean and my family-in-law is not proficient at English.
I 'd ideally want one-to-one tuition at my workplace between 9 and 5 on a weekday. Having a weekly lesson would be ideal.
I can read hangul and know a few basic expressions but my level is beginner.

Couple of evenings a week, I would like to learn Korean. I am travelling to Seoul next April to meet all my cousins and aunties and would love to be able to at least understand what they are saying and engage in basic conversation.
I am a beginner and don't have any knowledge. My sister is also interested in learning, she is 37, same experience.
