Hello Prospective Teachers,
I am learning Portuguese so that I can effectively study dance in Brazil, I visit Brazil pretty much every year.
I have been studying Portuguese for about two years on and off and am not a beginner, but I still have a long way to go - it is slow learning a language when you don't live in a country where it is spoken.
I need to achieve good conversationa l level Portuguese.
I prefer a teacher who uses recognised well respected text materials and who has substantial experience teaching Portuguese.
I hope someone like this exists in Brisbane! In the past I found a wonderful teacher through this site, but she has left Australia.

I would like to learn Brazilian portuguese in order to advance in my career. I am a beginner at portuguese, I have taken one semester at school and currently have a text book. I would like to focus on my pronunciation , grammar, listening, and conversation. At this point I would only have time for lessons once a week. I am interested to learn to speak Portuguese. I am currently working in alternating 1-month in Kl & 1-month in Angola (Portuguese speaking), so I would be in KL every alternate month of the year. During my month back in KL, I am normally quite flexible in timing.
