I am interested in taking a beginners course of Spanish. I'm hispanic and I find it frustrating that I can not coversate w/ the latin community I am so often around. I have had two years of college level Mandarin at Northern Virginia Community College and George Mason University. I spent four weeks at Beijing Normal University in intensive training in 2005. I have visited China (mostly Yunnan province) four times in the past five years.
How ever, I became seriously ill after returning from China and have not been able to practice Chinese for more than a year. I am now healthy again and eager to resume studying Chinese. I seem to have forgotten a great deal!
My main interest is in one-one tutoring in conversationa l Mandarin. I will also resume classes in Chinese at GMU. I am retired so my schedule is very flexible. I could meet 1-3 times a week.

Je pense que je suis au niveau intermédiare et je cherche un 'voice chat' pour améliorer ma conversation française. Nous irons à Paris l'année prochaine mais pour moi j'apprends le français comme un passe-temps et pour utiliser mon cerveau dans une autre façon.Je voudrais faire un groupe de conversation une heure par semaine et je voudrais un enseignant francophone avec des leçons flexible.
Si nce I live in California I am wondering how and if this can work for me in a small group format taking into account the 9 hour time difference between France and the US.
